some last photos from FL ...

The weather has been glorious this winter - warm during the day, mostly cool at night. Trying out my new camera around the house ...

Lots of herons and wading birds to for Jubilee and I to check on ...

There's a story behind this ...

The poinsettias still look good so I leave them out. This house has in many ways served as my hermitage these last few months, and I honor that. It has been a place of quiet and healing. Many good vibes here.

Aunt Louise and Gracie stop by for an overnight visit.

Spotted this guy this morning - the little black ducks with the metallic beaks in the back. Sometimes I don't see them and think that they have left, but here they are.

new camera

I'm trying out a new camera. It's just like my old one (Canon Powershot), just a newer model. The old one had developed a mechanical malfunction - the zoom would not back out - and since my sister re-arranged my kitchen I haven't been able to find the charger. I think this new camera has less burn out, and it definitely focuses better ...

Hopefully I'll get some more photos up here. The strange little ducks were not at the canal today. They were there last night and look like they have proliferated while here - there were 40 or 50 of them. Maybe they have already gone for the year ...

Meanwhile the weather in Florida continues to be warm and sunny. Jubilee suns herself in the very same place that our previous dogs and cats chose.

The curious little black ducks with metallic beaks that come to our canal for a few weeks every winter. I'll try to get a better photo of them. They're still here, but could leave any day.
