once again, a winter wonderland

Once again, everything is white.  Last night we went to a bar for dinner (unexciting) and had to clear the car off again in the time that it took to eat.  I'm amazed at how quickly they get the roads salted and cleared, even when it's snowing all day.

Jubilee and I were the first to make tracks this morning at the park.  Our favorite trail is the one named for a little boy, Sean B. DeArment.  Evidently he died in 1990, when he was just 7 years old.

"Nature Trail"
This trail was created in memory
of Sean DeArment.
Sean loved to explore, and to him
all of nature's creations were
treasures.  May visitors share
his sense of exhilaration as they
walk along this trail.

We do, Sean.  Sean would be about the same age as Eric, a little boy at the same time.

Meanwhile we are watching the weather.  Early next week we (Jubilee and I) are making the trek southward again.  I don't want to drive if there is active snow anywhere along the route.

This is the weather forecast for the next few days here.  Doesn't look like the snow will be melting anytime soon.

It's a bit sad to be leaving winter (and John).  There are some things we have to do and take care of in Florida.  John will still be here, and we will probably be returning by late February.
