Another American Adventure: lizards

lizards

We have a lot of lizards living with us in our Florida home these days, keeping Jubilee endlessly intrigued. There was a red one out by the lamp yesterday, but he was too fast for a photo.

This one has caught a moth.

The curly tail one lives on the back porch and goes in out thru the dog door.

Woodpeckers rattled the big trees' trunks, ruffed grouse whirred their tail feathers in the fall, and every long once in a while a nervous gang of empty-headed turkeys came hustling and kicking through the leaves - but no one heard any of this, no one at all."
