this is it - going for 300!

Yes, this is the car that 2 years ago I said would never see Florida again.  Excuse the dust!

This is our last day in Florida.  I am ready to go, not sure about Jubilee.  I’m also a little emotional about leaving.  Closing the door and walking away from home.   Going out into the big Unknown.  You would think that this would get easier with age, but it doesn’t.  It was easier when we were younger.

I’ve got a little more cleaning to do, and I need to leave a key with my neighbor (who looks like she isn’t home this week).   I'm going to the dentist in the morning, and then Jubilee and I are on the road.

Nothing left to do but let go and move on...

church turned into a bar

John and a friend and co-worker, Jim, took themselves out for Father's Day.  After riding their bikes around Moraine State Park, they ventured into this church-turned-bar in Pittsburgh.  John said it was "surreal".  More info on the website,

the "containment vessel"

Well, here's some news.  This is the bottom of the "containment vessel" being set at the Sanman China project.  Looks a little scary to me.  I'm hesitant to ask what it "contains".

I suppose this is what John is working on ...

no news

Not much news to report other than this photo that John sent last week - the parking lot of the motel where he is staying in Wexford.  (I miss my bicycle!) He's working hard and looking for a more permanent place to live.

Meanwhile, Jubilee and I are packing up, getting ready to roll.  The pool is looking great and being cared for by Mike.  Kevin is keeping the yard up.  I hope the a/c keeps running.  (The past 2 summers it has conked out on us, and needed $$$ repair work while we were away.)

It's hot in Florida now.  I daydream about getting a shaved ice machine.  Everyone tells us how cool Pittsburgh is, so rest assured, this blog will pick up once we get there.  We're planning to leave either the 1st or 2nd of July.  I have to wait until a crown for my tooth comes in before I can leave.
