our alternate life

It's time for this blog to be updated!

After a lot of confusion, Jubilee and I, on the turn of a dime, split.  The bougainvillea were blooming and our Florida home was really lovely.  We'd become acclimated.  But something called ...

A window of opportunity opened and we headed north ...
Hi to Tony in Daytona ...

We turned off the highway in St. Augustine to visit with Sebastian.
Bella comfortable in her new home.
Just typical Sebastian stuff -- everywhere you look is interesting!
Seb and Bella on the beach ...
Then, I didn't take too many photos, just headed north, listening to an audio-book - Stephen King's 11-22-63.  The dark green foliage became lighter and sparser, but it was clear that spring had made its mark.  All of the trees were blooming, in one stage or another.  We spent the night in Beckley WV, and woke up to rain.
But still made it back to our other home in Cranberry TWP just after noon.  It was 39 degrees!!!  Didn't waste too much time making it back over to Knob Hill to check things out ....
The skunk  cabbage had proliferated and all the trees were in bloom, despite us not being here to watch it.
It's good to be back ...

  1. Welcome back to the chilly northern springtime. Here the trees are getting their leaves -- the treetops are a lovely light green. The forsythia and pink magnolias are now past prime, but still adding colour. Spring comes slowly up north and then, suddenly, it is summer.

Glad to know you are back in Cranberry Twp.

  2. It's good to be back here. I think I'm catching the tail end of springtime. I love that light green color, it's really just as dramatic as the autumn, if you ask me.
