Looks like winter in Quebec! Glorious, indeed! We're -12 C here today (about 10 F). Makes all the trouble shoveling and salting worthwhile. I picked up a bag of icing salt at a nearby gas station. The fellow told me the bags just arrived today and that meant that the salt was fresh from the ocean. He advised me to take the biggest bag I could find. It was a funny exchange.
I don't know why, Barbara, but the very cold (like 7 F yesterday morning) doesn't feel cold to me. John says it is because it is dry and there is no wind. The icing salt is amazing, but I wish it weren't so hard on the animals' paws. I didn't know it came from the sea. That's kind of cool to think about.
