This is my new favorite place. I had been looking for this place since I got here, and lo and behold, it is just down the road but out of the way. Quiet. Not too many people (and on a holiday weekend). Very, very sweet. Jubilee and I plan to cover every trail in the park in the coming weeks.
You certainly have a good choice of attractive parks with extensive hiking trails in your vicinity. Good for you and Jubilee! I keep wanting to explore the much smaller nature preserves on the island of Montreal, mostly by the rivers, but never get around to it. Whenever I think I will get up and do something that day, Bogart decides it is time for an extended lapsit. Like now.
ReplyDeleteHaving a pet with nervous energy who needs to get out on a regular basis helps! Jubilee is good at walking off-leash - she stays right with me and comes immediately when called - but most places require that dogs always be leashed. This is a place where I can let her walk and run freely.
ReplyDeleteWe have a good beach in Florida where they allow dogs to be leash-free if they are under control. She loves running in the surf, and it's good for all of us to get out into the air.
