looking up and out

My goal today was to get my head out of the weeds. Step back, broaden my perspective, look at the bigger picture. This was challenging for me. Interesting. Sometimes I felt like I had to look up in order to find anything interesting.

Not sure where my inclination to photograph the traffic or the grocery store came from, but my teacher says that we don't "take" photos; rather we open ourselves to "receive" them.

In those first days, the woods were white oak and chestnut, hickory, maple, sycamore, walnut, wild ash, wild plum, and white pine.
