The trees are catching fire! Here I see the spark pass from one to another daily. I can hardly wait to see all in autumn colours! Unfortunately, that also means raking up the leaves that fall in my driveway. Another year passing into glory ...
Indeed, autumn is coming to Western PA much sooner and faster than I imagined. There are still green trees, but there are also trees here and there that all red (the maples?) and all yellow. Leaves are falling. It is fascinating to watch. I suspect in another couple of weeks things will really be interesting. THe days can still be warm, but the nights and definitely cool. However last night I got up and felt "hot" and it was 74 degrees in the apartment. I turned it down to 72. (I should have just opened a window, but I don't like the traffic sounds.) I told John this morning, boy am I getting spoiled. In Florida, we keep our thermostat at 80 and when I turn it down to 78 at night I feel like I'm indulging in a great luxury.
